Federal Careers: A discussion with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management
This event is in the past.
2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
As part of the WSU College to Career initiative, this will be a unique opportunity to connect with OPM Acting Director Rob Shriver, who has more than three decades of experience in public service, private industry and labor relations. He’ll discuss paid internship opportunities, career paths in the federal government and how to navigate a challenging (and ever-changing) federal landscape – all part of the Office of Personnel Management’s efforts to recruit more young people into federal service.
Mr. Shriver is passionate about recruiting early career talent, improving pay for workers, protecting civil servants from partisan influence, and advancing diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility in the federal government.
We look forward to seeing you there, and helping you determine if a job with the federal government could be the right fit for you!
