Talk Title: Breaking Barriers and Shattering Ceilings: Black faculty success isn't just a metric, but a movement toward academic success

Description: This talk focuses on the ways that Black social work faculty navigated and challenged some of the unwritten social norms affecting Black faculty in academia as they worked their way to becoming some of the top scholars in the discipline. While looking at challenges, I will also discuss and provide some insights on strategies that they incorporated into their daily academic life that helped them rise to the top of their field.
