Title: Data-Driven Discovery Across Low-Energy Nuclear Physics
Abstract: Low-energy nuclear physics is a rich and complex field that encompasses the study of nuclear structure, reactions, and applications across a wide range of energy scales. In recent years, the field has been transformed by the increasing availability of high-quality experimental data and the rapid advancement of computational methods, enabling new approaches to data analysis and model development. This talk will motivate some aspects of low-energy nuclear physics and highlight recent progress at the information frontier from the field. A spotlight will also be shone on efforts at lowering the barrier to entry to doing good science and how modern technologies can make it easier than ever to get into the field.
