Motor City Alliance FIRST LEGO League [FLL] and FIRST Tech Challenge [FTC]

The College of Engineering, Community Engagement & K-12 Outreach Office has partnered with Motor City Alliance to support Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) robotics teams from elementary and middle schools and their teachers, coaches, and mentors. Over 100 FIRST LEGO League [FLL] and FIRST Tech Challenge [FTC] students will bring their robotic kits and equipment to the campus and receive support from mentors and staff in the following:
- Game strategy
- Software Engineering Help
- Technical Support
"The mission of the Motor City Alliance is to inspire young people in Detroit, MI to be science and technology leaders and innovators, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
The Motor City Alliance(MCA) is a consortium of Michigan FIRST robotics teams and industry professionals. The central goal of MCA is to create a successful and sustainable FIRST ecosystem in Detroit.
