Empowering Responses: Handling Disclosures with Compassion workshop presented by the Office of Sexual Violence Prevention and Education is a focused workshop designed to equip faculty and staff with the tools to respond effectively and compassionately to disclosures of sexual violence from students. By emphasizing the “human element,” this session explores the critical role that empathy, sensitivity, and non-judgmental support play in creating a safe environment for survivors. This workshop aims to ensure that responses to disclosures not only support healing but also contribute to a broader culture of care and respect across campus.
