The Wayne State University School of Social Work invites you to join us for "Telehealth Essentials: Strategies for Effective Practice" presented by licensed clinical social worker and somatic experiencing practitioner Sarah Rollins, LMSW, SEP.

Explore the essentials of telehealth in this comprehensive course designed for behavioral health providers. This presentation offers practical insights into the fundamental aspects of delivering behavioral health services through virtual platforms. Participants will learn to identify suitable clients for telehealth, address challenges specific to working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, families, and groups, and effectively integrate evidence-based modalities into their telehealth practice. The course will cover best practices for setting up and managing a telehealth practice, including technology requirements, ethical considerations, and client confidentiality.

Sarah Rollins is a licensed clinical social worker and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner in Michigan. Rollins is a dual graduate from the University of Michigan, earning her undergraduate degree in Psychology in 2011 and graduate degree in social work in 2013. Sarah is the founder of a virtual group practice, Embodied Wellness, PLLC that specializes in somatic and EMDR therapy. Rollins is passionate about working with individuals with developmental and complex trauma. In addition to somatic therapy, she integrates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and an attachment lens in her practice.

CONTINUING EDUCATION: Three (3) Social Work CE's are available for attendees for free. Pre-registration for CE's is required via the RSVP form. All attendees seeking CE's must sign-in via the chat link and stay for the full duration. Attendees will receive a post-test and/or evaluation via email within 1 business day of the training. SPONSOR: Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training - Children, Adolescents, and Young Adult (BHWET-CAY) Program for Professionals is a HRSA funded training grant. BHWET-CAY is a partnership between Wayne State University College of Nursing and School of Social Work, training MSW and PMHNP students to increase the supply and distribution of behavioral health providers in rural and underserved communities to address the behavioral health needs of children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 16-25).
