Michigan Statewide Learning Community on Harm Reduction
Noon to 1:30 p.m.
Too often the standard response to substance use and mental health crises has been harmful and punitive. Join us for Bridging Connections and Building Alternatives to Incarceration, a bi-monthly series where attendees will learn about local harm reduction efforts helping to keep communities safe in Detroit and beyond.
This is a first-of-its-kind statewide learning community to help end mass incarceration in Michigan. It is designed for advocates and practitioners actively engaged in efforts related to community violence intervention, police accountability/ending police harm, restorative justice, alternative emergency response, re-entry, and other innovative approaches to enhance public safety and prevent incarceration in Michigan.
