School of Medicine Strategic Plan Town Hall
This event is in the past.
5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
This meeting will present an opportunity to discuss progress, address challenges and leverage the insight and feedback of the faculty, students and staff as the WSU School of Medicine realigns its future plans.
During the discussions leading to the development of the plan, we were cognizant and intentional about aligning the school’s goals with the university strategic plan, "Our Moment in Time," and more recently, with President Espy’s Prosperity Agenda. We were happy and grateful for the active participation of all the school’s constituencies and stakeholders in shaping our shared aspirations and values embodied in plan’s major pillars. These contributors developed well thought out and defined strategies through a series of elaborate discussions and engagement sessions. We are determined to leverage our unique strengths and values as we continue moving forward.
The plan hones our shared aspiration for the WSU School of Medicine to be a leader in transformative medical and graduate education; basic, clinical and community wellness-based research; diversity, inclusion, access and support for all as our commitment to social accountability; community engagement and partnership; solidifying secure and sustainable financial support for our missions; and embodying a continuous drive as a high-performing organization. This collaborative undertaking serves as our map forward during a critical juncture in the history of our School of Medicine, one defined by an exhilarating combination of an established track record of achievements and successes, along with outstanding talent at the student, trainee, faculty and staff level.
The meeting will take place at 5 p.m. Dec. 16 in the Blue Lecture Hall. All students, staff and faculty are invited, and are encouraged, to attend.
