Faculty Bystander Intervention Workshop
9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The WSU GEARS and Office of Inclusive Excellence's Faculty Bystander Leadership Workshop is an all-day skills building workshop for WSU faculty and chairs. The workshop is an opportunity to learn active bystander intervention techniques that interrupt instances of bullying, bias, and microaggressions. These behavioral interventions are designed to reduce racial and gender bias and improve inclusion on campus.
The all-day event is led by faculty members from the Departments of Theatre, Physics, Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Chemistry. Faculty members from across the university are invited to sign up to participate in the dynamic workshop which includes skits, breakout groups, and simulated conflict scenarios. Breakfast and lunch will be served. There is no cost to attend.
