Artist and WSU Alum, Pete Manschot gifted 49 photographic portraits celebrating Detroit artists, taken in the 1980s for the Detroit Focus Quarterly and Detroit Focus Gallery Installation & Outdoor Sites sculpture exhibition. 

Manschot received his BFA from Michigan State Univestity and MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Arts, he has been an artist and arts educator for over 50 years.

This body of work fits perfecting into the Wayne State University art collection, because it is a collection that focuses on Detroit and Regional artists and many of the artist represented in this exhibition are in the University Art Collection and our alumni of the university.
