Assistant Professor of Sociocultural Anthropology, Wellesley College

Abstract: Drawing on a decade of ethnographic research in Rwanda, this talk examines the diverse experiences of women and men whose adulthood was disrupted by a series of conflicts between the late 1950s and mid-1990s, and who are now living their later years in a period of relative political stability.
 
Speaker Profile: Aalyia Sadruddin is an Assistant Professor of Sociocultural Anthropology at Wellesley College.  Her research focuses on demographic transformations, cultures of care, and health infrastructures in postconflict settings, with a focus on Rwanda.
