Join ACS and MLSA for an engaging discussion featuring Professor Alexander Reinert, who represented Javaid Iqbal in the landmark case Ashcroft v. Iqbal before the Supreme Court of the United States. Professor Reinert is a Professor of Litigation and Advocacy and Director of the Center for Rights and Justice at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and a well-respected civil rights attorney. This conversation will provide important and critical context regarding the Islamophobia present in Ashcroft v. Iqbal, the challenges of executive actions following 9/11, and the negative effects that the ruling has had on access to justice.
