AI in Research - EACPHS Research Workshop
1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Please join us for an engaging presentation about the role of AI in Research and specific tools available for incorporating AI into the research process from Dr. Laura Roberts of Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
SESSION DESCRIPTION:
The landscape of AI tools is rapidly expanding from ChatGPT and Claude to Perplexity, SciSpace, and Grammarly. But with so many options, how do you decide which one to use, and how can you ensure students leverage AI to assist—not replace—their own work? This workshop will explore a variety of AI tools designed for research and writing, share syllabus and assignment policies to promote responsible AI use, and offer actionable strategies for integrating AI into your teaching. By the end, you'll have the resources to introduce AI to your students and might even be inspired to incorporate it into your own research process!
