This event will look at the role of lawyers in defending protestors who have been criminally charged. We are hoping to answer the following questions; 1. How is defending protestors different from defending other criminal defendants? 2. Does one need any special training or experience to defend activists against criminal charges? 3. Is there any overlap between the criminal defense of activists and constitutional and/or civil rights law?
