History Degrees in Action: A Conversation with Katie Chaka
Wondering what you can do with your history degree?
Join the Department of History for a discussion with alumna Katie Chaka Parks on careers in museums.
Katie Chaka Parks, PhD, is the Director of Education at the Zekelman Holocaust Center where she has worked since 2017. Katie received a PhD in European History from Wayne State University, with a focus on women, gender, and sexuality in modern Germany during World War II and the Holocaust. She was a 2023 Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial Foundation Fellow.
She will discuss her career path in museums and answer questions about how students and alumni can use their history education to pursue a variety of careers.
