The Wayne State University School of Medicine Office of Faculty Affairs & Professional Development welcomes all members of our community to join us for a special interactive discussion:

During this one hour webinar attendees will learn about the Whole Person Care Models in the United States and their evolution. Along with the differences and similarities in Integrative Medicine, Lifestyle Medicine, Functional Medicine and VHA Whole Health System of Care and the research that supports the implementation of these models.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the Whole Person Care models and reasons for their creation. 
  • Learn about the eight circles of well-being in Whole Health.
  • Learn the differences in Integrative Medicine, Lifestyle Medicine, Functional Medicine, and Whole Health Systems of care.
  • Learn about the research to support implementation of Whole Health System of Care.

Guest Speaker:

Dr. Harminder Grewal is a physician, educator, and leader in Family Medicine and Integrative Medicine. She currently serves as the Chair of the Department of Family Medicine and Associate Professor at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. In addition, she serves as the Whole Health Clinical Lead at Dayton VA Medical Center. She has clinical experience and training in Family Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology and Pediatrics in USA, India, and UK. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Integrative Medicine. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. With extensive clinical and academic experience, she has led initiatives in Family Medicine residency programs, rural residency programs, women’s health, and veteran wellness.
