The MOS program, backed by Microsoft and administered through Certiport, validates your ability to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft 365 applications in real-world, performance-based tasks.

Through the SEAL Lab at the Mike Ilitch School of Business, Mike Ilitch School of Business Wayne State students can earn one of four MOS certifications at no cost:

• Word Associate

• Excel Associate

• PowerPoint Associate

• Excel Expert

Each certification is a globally recognized credential that demonstrates your fluency in Microsoft Office tools. While these exams typically cost over $100, the SEAL Lab covers the full cost for selected students who complete the required LinkedIn Learning prep course. By participating in the prep process, you’ll build practical digital skills, strengthen your resume and LinkedIn profile, and gain professional recognition that sets you apart in any business environment.
