Hilberry Gateway - the STAGE

See the premiere of The Rhythm of Nature, an original dance touring show produced by Wayne State University’s Company One dance ensemble. Like the pulse and cycles of the Earth, the dancers’ movements vibe through rhythm and soul. Inspirations come from science, ecosystems, human relationships, and the celebration of dance as a joyful practice. The show welcomes audiences of all ages.

Company One provides entertainment and education through exciting dance performances designed for audiences of all ages, both on campus and at venues throughout Metro-Detroit. Company One's dance productions creates a lively experience through original choreography, narration, and music. Each program features the choreography of company dancers and esteemed national guest artists. This season, Artist Director Lisa Rose LaMarre Wilmot collaborated with the cast and guest choreographers Derell Jones and Sam Horning to develop the original show. The work, premiering on Dec. 6, 2026 (Noel Night), will tour to K-12+ schools in the new year.
