Join Delta Dental as we explore how oral health connects with our overall health!

Oral health is deeply connected to overall health because the mouth serves as both a gateway to the body and a reflection of its internal condition. Poor oral hygiene can allow harmful bacteria to enter the bloodstream, contributing to systemic inflammation and increasing the risk of conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and respiratory infections. Likewise, chronic diseases can worsen oral health by weakening the immune system or reducing saliva flow. By maintaining good oral hygiene and seeking regular dental care, individuals can not only protect their teeth and gums but also support their long-term overall health and well-being.
