Objectives: 1. Describe the origins of PMT, with an emphasis on theoretical principles underlying PMT-Baumrind's parenting styles; operant conditioning and applied behavioral analysis; social learning theory; and the coercion model of interaction.
2. Identify core features of parent management training, as well as indications, benefits, and risks of its utilization.
3. Analyze research that attempts to tease apart the function of the individual components of parent training, and discuss how this could theoretically be applied to our patient case.
