Honors students are invited to attend our regular series featuring lunch and conversation with campus and community leaders, sponsored by Dr. Bob Pettapiece, '80.

This Lunches with Leaders will feature Jeseekia Vaughn, a Detroit-based software engineer with a passion for community engagement and promoting STEM education, youth mentoring, and entrepreneurship. Jeseekia is the Director of Detroit Hacker House, she is also an entrepreneur, senior software engineer, and a machine learning engineer with an interest in supporting local startups. She is very involved in educating future developers and tech specialists through boot camps and non-profits.  She is co-founder of Detroit Black Tech and the annual Hacking with the Homies Developer Conference.

The event's will take place in the Undergraduate Library in the Community on Tuesday, January 20th, 2026 at 12:00 pm (noon) to 1:00 pm. Event is limited to 40 RSVPs.
