Hosted by Inclusion and Belonging Graduate Student Assistant, Camille Moore, this Professional Development Webinar Series is an opportunity for current and recently graduated SIS students to strengthen their career-readiness skills.
Webinar 2: ALA Spectrum Scholarship Information Session
Join the School of Information Sciences for a professional development webinar that provides a deeper look into the application process for the Spectrum Scholarship and the benefits of joining the cohort. This virtual event will be hosted by Ida Martinez (Research Support Librarian and co-chair of the Spectrum Scholarship jury) and Janelle Lyons (English Librarian, Spectrum Scholar ‘23, & Juror '26).
More information about ALA's Spectrum Scholarship Program: In 2026, the American Library Association will award more than $300,000 in scholarship funds to students who are studying library sciences or school library media programs at ALA-accredited institutions. The ALA's Spectrum Scholarship Program provides scholarships to American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Middle Eastern and North African, and/or Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander students.
