NOTE NEW DATE! We are pleased to invite the campus community and colleagues to Wayne State University’s Center for Emerging and Infectious Diseases (CEID)'s webinar series on addressing vaccine hesitancy. Developed by CEID, this accredited webinar series equips healthcare professionals with evidence-based, practical communication strategies and techniques to effectively address patient concerns and confusion regarding vaccines.
The webinar will take place from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22, via Zoom.
Pertussis is highly contagious and infants younger than one year old are at greatest risk for getting whooping cough and having severe complications. This session will explain acellular vs. whole-cell vaccine evolution, discuss waning immunity and adult booster protocols and promote cocooning strategies and pregnancy vaccination.
