Join the MotorCities National Heritage Area (MCNHA), Labor@Wayne, the Fraser Center for Workplace Issues for a lunchtime forum (food and beverages provided) highlighting the Southwest Detroit Auto Heritage Guide. This unique resource chronicles the auto, labor, and community history of Southwest Detroit. MCNHA formally introduced this online resource to the public this fall after more than a decade of work by volunteer activists, scholars, and students. This session explores the opportunities for students, faculty, union members, & the Wayne State community to help generate even more content to honor the neighborhood’s unique auto legacy. A key idea to be discussed for advancing this agenda is a brownbag presentation series to be hosted by Labor@Wayne during the 2026-2027 academic year.
