Brothers in Social Work: February Breakfast & Check In
This event is in the past.
10 a.m. to noon
The Wayne State University School of Social Work invites you to come meet, celebrate, and learn from men of color within the Social Work Profession! We encourage current and incoming male social work students seeking a way to impact their community via a flexible and lucrative career path to join us. We also welcome Brothers in Social Work Warrior alums, faculty, and staff to connect and learn about ways to get involved.
Social work offers a variety of career opportunities. Come and chat with male leaders in the field working as:
- Therapists, Community Leaders, and Educators
- School Counselors, Youth Workers, and Social Entrepreneurs
- Law Makers, Politicians, Researchers, Professors, and more
Join WSU School of Social Work Advisors Lawrence Robinson and Geoffrey Jones as they facilitate this discussion showcasing the village of support available to assist men of color in the Social Work profession. There will be plenty of time to get all of your questions answered and chat with students, staff and community members about the upcoming academic year and life after graduation.
Social Work = Hard Work, Specialized Training, and a HEART dedicated to serving others
