The replication crisis and US Federal funding mandates are placing research data in the spotlight, and putting pressure on researchers to share their data. This session will explore strategies for positioning research data as a scholarly object, either as a published output in its own right or as a supplement to other scholarly publications. Participants will get a sense of the landscape, the reasons for making data available, and tactics for strengthening scholarly output with underlying data.
