Prenatal Cannabis Exposure, Mental Health, and Behavior among Children
Prenatal exposure to cannabis has become increasing common. Dr. Bogdan will share data from large national studies and independent local projects linking prenatal cannabis exposure to adverse birth as well as health and behavioral outcomes among children as well as studies of plausible biological mechanisms (i.e., brain development, placental methylation). Ultimately, by better understanding whether correlates of prenatal cannabis exposure may reflect a consequence of exposure and/or shared predispositional risk will help inform policy as well as preventative strategies and treatments to benefit child health.
