The Wayne State University School of Social Work Office of Continuing Education is excited to host Ashley Freeman, LLMSW, EMT for the virtual-training entitled, Resilience Redefined. This interactive, live Zoom workshop invites clinicians and first responder mental health professionals into a space of reflection, insight, and renewed connection. Through the lens of trauma-informed care, this session explores how chronic exposure to trauma—including grief, moral injury, and cumulative stress—impacts clinicians and the people they serve.

Participants will engage with concepts such as hyper- and hypo-arousal states, moral injury, and post-traumatic growth (PTG), and will be encouraged to consider how these dynamics play out in their professional roles. The workshop blends research, real-life examples, and opportunities for personal reflection to illuminate the difference between bouncing back (resilience) and growing forward (PTG).

CONTINUING EDUCATION: Attendees can obtain 2 social work CECHs upon completion of the training and payment receipt. A CECH certificate will be available for download upon completion of the aforementioned items.

COST: $20.00 for 2 CECHs; free for students.
