Emily E. LB. Twarog is a labor educator, historian, and associate professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Ronald and Lilia Peters Faculty Scholar at the School of Labor and Employment Relations. She is author of Politics of the Pantry: Housewives, Food, and Consumer Protest in Twentieth Century America (2017) and has published numerous articles, reports, and book chapters on sexual harassment and women’s labor union leadership. Her current book project, Hands Off: A History of Fighting Back Against Sexual Harassment in the American Workplace, is a historical examination of how service sector workers organized to make their jobs safer. She is an associate editor at Labor Studies Journal and Labor: Studies in Working-Class History.
