Stronger together: Immigration rights and red cards

Open to all! Join us for an exciting informational event is hosted by the Government Affairs Project Group and the Student Services Project Group of the Wayne State University Student Senate. Attendees will learn about immigration rights, preparedness and what to expect during interactions with immigration enforcement. The event will also feature a resource fair with organizations offering information, services and support.
The keynote address will be delivered by Heaster Wheeler, WSU Graduate of African American Studies, instructor with Detroit Public Schools, former Assistant Secretary of State, and NAACP representative. A panel discussion will feature Gabriela Santiago-Romero (Detroit City Council Member), Rebecca Robichaud (Assistant Professor of Law, Clinical), Cherise Frost (Director of Student Disability Services), and Lauren Duquette-Rury (Associate Professor, Department of Sociology), moderated by Brad Roth.
