OHR Lunch & Learn: Intervention Mapping

The Office of Health Research invites the campus community to a bi-monthly Lunch and Learn series focused on various research topics, tools, best practices and important updates for Wayne State University faculty. The event is free; RSVP is required.
This event will be on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 12 PM to 1 PM. Please join us in an engaging presentation led by Dr. Christine Markham, Professor and Chair and Allan King Professorship in Public Health for UTHealth Houston School of Public Health.
This is an in-person event, and it will not be recorded. Registration is required by February 27th and seating is limited. A light lunch and refreshments will be served.
All Lunch & Learn sessions will be held on the first and third Tuesday of the month from 12 to 1 PM. with the exception of some dates due to holidays.

Abstract
Intervention Mapping is a systematic theory- and evidence-based health promotion program planning framework that has been widely applied to diverse health topics by health promotion practitioners and researchers across the globe. This Lunch and Learn session will provide an overview of the six-step Intervention Mapping framework for planning multilevel health promotion programs, including steps to co-design, implement, and evaluate health promotion programs in collaboration with community partners, potential implementers, and end users.
