CLEAR/CURES seminar: community engagement in environmental health research

Please join Wayne State University's Center for Leadership in Environmental Awareness and Research (CLEAR) and Center for Urban Responses to Environmental Stressors (CURES) for their upcoming virtual seminar, "Centering community experts in environmental health research across the community engagement continuum," on March 5, 2026 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. The seminar is free; registration is required.
Speakers will include Carrie Leach, PhD, MPA, research assistant professor in Wayne State's Institute of Gerontology and co-director of the CURES Community Engagement Core (CEC) alongside members of the CURES Community Advisory Board (CAB): Sandra Turner-Handy, EdD ABD, interim director of Detroiters Working for Environmental Justice, executive director of Denby Neighborhood Alliance, and CURES CAB co-chair; Dell Stubblefield, community engagement specialist at Hope Village Revitalization and CURES CAB member; and Deborah Stewart Anderson, MEd, executive director of Zero Waste Detroit and CURES CAB member.
