Session Overview
This continuing education training will explore the mental health needs of Multiracial young adults. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the cultural and social factors that influence the mental health of Multiracial populations, including the influence of microaggressions, identity erasure, and other forms of marginalization. Participants will learn about emerging strategies for providing culturally tailored mental health care to Multiracial individuals, particularly young adults. Participants will leave with a greater understanding of the importance of cultural considerations and strategies for providing inclusive mental health care to this diverse population.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this continuing education training, participants will be able to:
- Describe life experiences that may influence Multiracial young adults’ mental health outcomes; and
- Identify clinical strategies for providing culturally tailored mental health care to Multiracial young adults.
