Meet the SBA: Overview of Federal Contracting | WSU APEX Accelerator
9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Did you know that the government works to make sure small businesses get at least 23 percent of all federal contracting dollars?
Additionally, the government tries to award a certain percentage of all federal prime contracting dollars to small businesses that meet certain socio-economic conditions. The Small Business Administration (SBA) provides several programs to help small businesses win federal contracts.
Participating in these programs helps small businesses:
- Win a fair share of federal contracts
- Qualify for exclusive set-aside and sole-source contracts
- Partner with established contractors to win contracts
- Get business mentoring and education to learn how federal contracting works
Join guest presenter Gabrielle Coner, representative from the SBA, Detroit District, for this federal contracting overview.
The SBA Michigan District Office can also connect you to our partner organizations, lenders, and other community groups that help small businesses succeed.
The Michigan District Office services the entire state of Michigan. Offices are located in Detroit and Grand Rapids.
For more information, visit sba.gov/district/Michigan.
No fee to attend, but registration is required.
