Is your company active in or considering entering the defense, aerospace, automotive, software, IT, semiconductor, or telecommunications industries?

Are you familiar with the ITAR and EAR for U.S. government export control?

ITAR stands for International Traffic in Arms Regulations, which regulates defense-specific items and services, while EAR is the Export Administration Regulations, which governs "dual-use" items that have both commercial and military applications. Both regulations are managed by different departments: ITAR by the Department of State and EAR by the Department of Commerce.

Join Miller Canfield attorney and Wayne State alum, Joseph D. Gustavus, in-person, as he presents an overview of ITAR and EAR compliance.

Topics of discussion include:

  • U.S. Export controls under International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • U.S. Export controls Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
