The School of Information Sciences is proud to host its second book club in anticipation for the 2026 Beyond Barriers Conference: Centering Social Justice in L/IS. The book we will read and discuss is "Trans History: A Graphic Novel: From Ancient Times to the Present Day" by Alex L. Combs & Andrew Eakett.

The 2 hour book club session will take place on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 6pm on Zoom. Book club facilitators will provide discussion questions and then open the space for students to speak freely about their thoughts on graphic novels as a tool for learning about diverse communities and "Trans History: A Graphic Novel: From Ancient Times to the Present Day" as an example. It is strongly recommended for students to have completed the book before attending, but the event is open to all.
