International Perspectives on Promoting Perinatal Health & Mental Health
Dr. Eaves will summarize two research projects conducted in the U.S. and Australia about vulnerable perinatal populations and the care they receive. Midwifery continuity-of-care practice and centering the critical role of community-based perinatal care providers in delivering respectful maternity care will be highlighted.

Dr. Eaves has researched individual and organizational factors related to work-related stress management among helping professionals, racial inequities in maternal-infant health and mental health outcomes, and community needs assessment of early care and education affordability and access. Her clinical experience includes child and family guidance clinics, early intervention programs, early childhood mental health consultation, policy work, parent-infant psychotherapy, and training/consultation with home visiting clinicians.
