Abstract
Career Cartography (CC) is a strategic, iterative approach to planning and communicating a career in science. It emphasizes aligning personal and professional goals with broader health, scientific, and policy impacts. Through examples, theoretical foundations, and practical mapping strategies, the presentation guides nurse scientists and scholars in visualizing their career trajectory, identifying gaps, and positioning their work to influence policy and improve the health of the public. The session also highlights the importance of mentorship, interdisciplinary collaboration, and communication and dissemination strategies to maximize career impact.
Individual /small group meetings for application will be available for more depth with participants working on their destination statements and beginning to draft a career map.
