WSU's Society of American Archives Tour of The Henry Ford Archives
5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Join the Society of American Archivists Wayne State University Chapter for an on-site tour of the Benson Ford Research Center, Archives and Library at The Henry Ford!
Originally from Selma, Alabama, The Henry Ford acquired the Dr. Sullivan and Richie Jean Sherrod Jackson Home in 2023. After much anticipation, the Jackson Home will open to the public June 2026. Learn more about the exciting addition here.
This tour is a special opportunity for School of Information Sciences graduate students to meet Amber Mitchell (Curator of Black History) and Jack Schmitt (Processing Archivist) before the Jackson House is open to the public this summer! Mitchell and Schmitt will share their experiences processing the papers from the Jackson Collection and take us on a tour of the archive.
