Title: The coefficients of C_p-equivariant geometric complex cobordism

Abstract: Classically, the geometric cobordism of stably almost-complex manifolds is represented by the complex cobordism spectrum MU. However, equivariantly, it is well-known that the equivariant complex cobordism spectrum MU^G does not represent the cobordism of stably almost-complex G-manifolds, due to the failure with transversality for equivariant manifolds. In this talk, for G=C_p, I will discuss a genuine C_p-spectrum that represents the cobordism of stably almost-complex G-manifolds, and describe the geometric cobordism ring in terms of generators and relations. I will also discuss some geometric interpretations of these generators, in relation to the work of Kosniowski.
