The James Pearson Duffy Department of Art, Art History, and Design is pleased to present 2026 Undergraduate Exhibition, April 24 through May 8, 2026, with an opening reception on Friday, April 24, 5-8PM. 

The exhibition is a culmination of works from the department’s various disciplines: fine art, art history, and design. The works were selected by faculty members to emphasize student’s desire to explore techniques, concepts, and think beyond the traditional boundaries of contemporary art.

The 2026 Undergraduate Exhibition includes work by the following students: Tanya Ali, Maryssa Brown, Eden Burkhardt, Elizabeth Daugherty, Jenn Dest, Sofia Ferrara, Jenni Garcia-Flores & Amalia Rizza-Forton, Julianna Guglielmetti, Marcelina Hunter, Jake Leslie, Sujin Jo, Louis Kidder, Rifa Maria & William Calhoun, Diana Muccioi, Mo Osborne, Jullian Perry, Bridget Polk, Kaitlyn Pacyga, Lauryn Payne, Emma Plater, Jamie Pittinos, Haley Puri, Mary Rickle, Ashley Roark, Stella Rochon, Sophia Sarcona, Keira Shantry, Benjamin Simon, Brooke Smith, Valentina Ventimigila, Quinn Wilson, Nolan Young, and Annabelle Zhen.

Coinciding with the 2026 Undergraduate Exhibition, the James Pearson Duffy Department of Art, Art History, and Design is pleased to present Shifts & Shades: 2026 BFA Thesis Exhibition from April 24 through May 8, 2026. 

Students enrolled in Professional Practices II come together to showcase their work. The interdisciplinary seminar, a capstone course for Bachelor of Fine Art students, encourages students to examine contemporary issues in visual art, including history, art criticism and art making. This exhibition celebrates their outstanding achievements during their undergraduate studies at WSU and features approximately 25 works created through a variety of disciplines and approaches.

Works by the following students are included: Isaac E. Johnstone (BFA, Drawing), Arthur E. Minter (BFA, Digital Art), Jaren I. Bryson (BFA, Ceramics), Luanni R. Ford (BFA, Graphic Design and Minor in Illustration), Danny K Dunbar (BFA, Painting), Ruby Grace Kellman (BFA, Ceramics and Metals), Kelly A. Davidson, (BFA, Metalsmithing), Joann F  Brady (BFA  Painting), Wayne L Hearns II (BFA, Digital Art), Trevor Sampson (BFA, Digital Art), and Vane GG (BFA, Digital Art)
