About Scooby-Doosical

Zoinks! This year’s revue, Scooby-Doosical! follows the Mystery Inc. crew as they work to solve a mystery that has been plaguing the citizens of Crystal Cove. Scooby, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne, and Fred, along with a sprinkle of mysterious persons, bring you their rendition of songs from your favorite musicals: “Head Over Heels,” “Hairspray,” “The Book of Mormon,” and “Cats!”

About Motor City Cabaret ​​

Motor City Cabaret (MCC) is a musical theatre performance and outreach program that tours a family-friendly and LGBTQIA+ inclusive, musical revue to local schools, libraries, and community centers. Our program aims to create an awareness and appreciation of the art of theatre and dance through an energetic and informative hour-long performance. Our shows are devised by our Musical Theatre students and faculty and include the best numbers from Broadway’s most recognizable shows.

About 'The Baggage We Carry' ​​

Led by Billicia Charnelle Hines and Dr. RAS Mikey Courtney, Freedom Players is a devised theatre performance ensemble that addresses issues of social justice. This year's theme, "The Baggage We Carry" examines the Freedom Players' individual and collective journeys and how those experiences impact the present and future. 

About the Freedom Players ​​

Led by Billicia Charnelle Hines and Dr. RAS Mikey Courtney, the Freedom Players is a devised theatre performance ensemble that addresses issues of social justice for Detroit Public Schools Community District, serving approximately 3,600 public middle and high school students. A new show will be devised each year to reflect the changing attitudes of race and privilege in Detroit.
