Join the Department of Political Science and the Center for Peace & Conflict Studies for a dynamic conversation with Mr. Dan Nicu, Senior Consultant in the State Chancellery of the Republic of Moldova, Bureau for Reintegration Policies, and Fellow at the University of Michigan Weiser Center. The event is this Friday, June 12, from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM in person in the John Strate Student Lounge, F/AB 2308.
Mr. Nicu’s work focuses on implementing government policies concerning the uncontrolled Transnistrian region of Moldova, the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict, and the full reintegration of the region within the authority of Moldova. Previously, Mr. Nicu worked in media and with liberal political parties in Moldova and Romania, as a political analyst and political consultant. As a fellow at the University of Michigan, Mr. Nicu is researching US best practices in public administration and public policies in the areas of conflict management/conflict-solving and national/international security. He is spending part of his fellowship visiting Wayne State.
