TechTown Detroit presents Taco' Bout Tech!

A free, community-focused event that brings together Latino and Hispanic students, emerging professionals, entrepreneurs, and members of our ecosystem to connect through meaningful conversations about technology. The afternoon centers on open dialogue, community, and opportunities. Share some tacos while participating in informal roundtable discussions on topics such as starting a career in technology, the different career paths available, what it truly means to work in the tech sector, and the differences between technical and non-technical roles. Whether you're a college student, a high school student exploring your future, a founder, engineer, designer, creative, or seasoned professional, Taco' Bout Tech is a welcoming space to ask questions, share experiences, build connections, and discover new opportunities within Detroit's innovation ecosystem.

We'll get together to talk about the questions, concerns, ideas, and solutions on our minds.

What's working? What's missing? What do we want to see more of, for our community specifically?

Whether you're a student, a founder, deep in the industry, or have never thought about "tech" as something for you this roundtable discussion is made for you. Bring your appetite, your opinions, and your community. That's it.

La tarde se centra en el diálogo abierto, la comunidad y las oportunidades. Comparte unos tacos mientras participas en conversaciones informales en mesas redondas sobre temas como cómo iniciar una carrera en tecnología, los diferentes caminos profesionales disponibles, qué significa realmente trabajar en el sector tecnológico y las diferencias entre los roles técnicos y no técnicos. Ya seas estudiante universitario, estudiante de preparatoria explorando tu futuro, fundador, ingeniero, diseñador, creativo o profesional con experiencia, Taco' Bout Tech es un espacio acogedor para hacer preguntas, compartir experiencias, crear conexiones y descubrir nuevas oportunidades dentro del creciente ecosistema de innovación de Detroit.
