For Full Time Faculty in the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts.

Session 1: New (er) Faculty Welcome and Orientation 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm

This session is designed as an overview for faculty who want to learn or brush up on grantmaking practices and resources. Participants will learn about the university’s research support structure, meet key support staff, hear from a faculty panel about their experiences, understand the benefits of applying for funding through the university, explore funding opportunities, and become familiar with existing faculty resources.

Session 2:  Talking about Research 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm.

Session 2 is designed to support faculty in effectively communicating the significance and impact of their work. The session will include an interactive workshop, with university research stakeholders, who will support participants in small groups to develop strategies and ideas as faculty begin the school year energized and prepared to engage in impactful scholarly work.
