The Future Librarians for Inclusivity and Diversity are honored to welcome Lisa A. Goodman as our first guest speaker of the 2026-2027 academic year.

Lisa A. Goodman is Executive Professor and Director of the Law Library at Texas A&M University School of Law, where she provides leadership for the law library’s academic, research, and information services. Her previous leadership positions include Associate Law Librarian for Administration at Yale Law School’s Lillian Goldman Law Library and Interim Assistant Dean for the Law Library & Information Technology Services at Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center. She has taught both first-year and advanced legal research courses. Before entering law librarianship, Professor Goodman practiced briefly with the Detroit firm of Dickinson Wright PLLC.

Professor Goodman is active in the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), including serving as Chair of the 2024–2025 Annual Meeting Program Committee. She is the 2026 recipient of AALL’s Volunteer Service Award. Professor Goodman holds a J.D. and M.L.I.S. from Wayne State University, a B.S. from Eastern Michigan University, and a B.A. from the University of Michigan. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated.
