TOPIC: "Disaster and Preventive Psychiatry: What Mental Health Providers Should Know"

Objectives: 

1.  Identify behavioral and psychological responses to disasters and consider risk and protective factors for populations affected by disasters. 

2.  Develop basic skills in psychological interventions in disaster, including psychological first aid and risk and crisis communication. 

3.  Discuss strategies for approaching challenges in care delivery and other measures to protect public mental health during and after disasters.
