Join Design Core Detroit and Cranbrook Academy of Art for the closing symposium of Detroit Month of Design's 16th edition, an afternoon exploring how design moves cities forward.

Design Moves the Future brings together designer leaders to examine how creative practice shapes Detroit's future through the lens of the UNESCO Sustainable Development Goals, entrepreneurship, production, studio practice, and cross-sector collaboration.

The event will feature three presenters sharing how their work is advancing design across industries and disciplines from independent studio practice to large-scale corporate collaborations. The presentations will be followed by a moderated panel discussion with funders, industry leaders, and local practitioners, discussing the challenges and opportunities of building a design practice in Detroit.

Attendees are invited to continue the evening via a 'Design Crawl' for music, creative activities and networking from 5:30PM - 8:30PM at nearby partner venues:
