Current Wayne Law students are invited to attend the Lunch with a Lawyer series, presented by the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs and the Office of Career Succes.

This program is designed to help current Wayne Law students reflect on their law school experience and explore unique, high-impact career paths. This event features alumna Lunch with a Lawyer, featuring Kathleen Wilson-Thompson (J.D. '82, LL.M. '96), who will discuss her career journey and involvement that continues to shape her career.

About the speaker:

Kathleen Wilson-Thompson is a Wayne Law alumna whose career demonstrates the many paths a law degree can open. After earning her J.D. and LL.M. from Wayne Law, Kathleen built a distinguished career that blends legal expertise with business leadership, serving in executive roles at Kellogg Company and Walgreens Boots Alliance, where she became Executive Vice President and Global Chief Human Resources Officer. She has advised and led global organizations, served on corporate boards, and continues to be recognized as a trailblazer in business and leadership. Kathleen’s career offers valuable insight into how lawyers can use their legal education in unexpected and impactful ways.

Lunch will be provided for students who register in advance. Registration deadline is 9/23/26. Space is limited. Walk-ins are welcome at the event, but lunch may not be guaranteed.
