As part of a broader restructuring, TAL brings together and strengthens the support available to transfer and adult learners from the Transfer Student Success Center (TSSC) and Adult Learner Team to create a more coordinated, student-centered experience.

Our goal is to help students navigate their path to and through Wayne State by removing barriers, expanding flexible pathways, and connecting students with the resources, opportunities, and support they need to thrive. TAL works across campus and with external partners to advance initiatives that make Wayne State a more transfer- and adult learner-friendly institution. Through recruitment and outreach, transition support, advising, partnerships, and engagement, we are working to improve access, persistence, and degree completion.
